Unprecedented Medical Council Decision Covered by HKU CMEL

HKU Centre for Medical Ethics and Law refers to Mr Gordon Chan’s article on a Medical Council decision to stay a case permanently.

The article “When’s the time to stay?”  is being covered by the HKU Centre for Medical Ethics and Law in the Hong Kong Medical Law Updates section of their latest May-June 2024 Issue Newsletter.

In the article, Mr Gordon Chan reported the unprecedented decision of the Medical Council of Hong Kong to terminate the disciplinary inquiry against a doctor and discussed the legal principles underneath the case.
